Blankenship Martial Arts

Ben received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2015 graduating Magna Cum Laude. He is currently a PhD student member of the Anseth Research Group at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on the design and characterization of cellular scaffolds for tissue engineering. As a former graduate TA for CHEM 1211 (General Chemistry for Engineers), he has intimate knowledge of this course material and how to prepare students to succeed. He was previously employed by Cardinal Scholars LLC as a tutor for AP Chemistry. During this time, he worked with students individually to address gaps in knowledge and tailor sessions for performance on the AP Exam. In addition to these positions he has over 6 years of general chemistry experience and training varying from laboratory management to group facilitation. He enjoys teaching and is enthusiastic about helping students fundamentally understand chemistry concepts. Many people claim that they do not like or understand chemistry, but in Ben's experience a good teacher can make a substantial difference.
